What our plumber found
Casey and Kagen put 3 pounds of air pressure on the gas system and checked for leaks. They found two: one out by the gas meter, and one on the gas shut-off valve for the tankless water heater.
How we fixed it
At the tankless unit we took off the gas stop and resealed it with Teflon tape and pipe dope. At the meter we fixed the leak while reassembling the meter connection. Then we aired the system back up and ran another pressure test. We watched it for about 25 minutes and the gauge held. The meter was back together before we left.
