Meet the Hudson Family

A family name customers can count on

Meet Casey Hudson

Ricky founded the company in 2017. Casey joined the company in 2021 and carries the same family standard into every job.

Founded in 2017

Ricky Brett Hudson is the owner and founder of Acts of Service Plumbing. The company was founded in 2017.

Family ownership

“It's my dad, Ricky, me, and my older brother, Casey. We're all three co-owners. ... Everyone who works here is like family." — Michael Hudson, co-owner

The name

Acts of Service came from the book The Five Love Languages, and the first one is acts of service. That's where my dad got the name. ... We're here to serve our customers.

Customer respect

We're a very tight company, and when our guys go into a customer's house, they treat it like their own house. They treat our customers with respect, like our customers are our family.

Where "Acts of Service" Comes From

"Acts of Service came from the book The Five Love Languages, and the first one is acts of service. That's where my dad got the name. ... We're here to serve our customers." — Michael Hudson, co-owner

Hourly, not commission

Why our techs are paid hourly

“The honest reason why we do hourly and not commission is because when guys become commission, they become car salesmen. Our technicians go in with the mindset of, ‘I get paid hourly, so I’m coming in to do the best job to my ability and what’s best for the customer.’ If your water heater can be repaired or needs to be replaced, the technician gets paid the same.” — Michael Hudson, co-owner

The price is the price

Upfront pricing that stays put

We diagnose the problem first, then give you a fair upfront price. If a little extra work turns up that we didn’t know about, the price still stays the same.

“Sometimes we’ve bid the job for a certain amount of hours and it only took less. We went back to the customer and dropped the bill down. We need to make a profit, but we don’t need to take advantage of the customer.” — Michael Hudson

Plumbing with compassion

Giving back to our community

We hear from people who are struggling and can’t afford a plumber, sometimes after losing a spouse or a job. “A lot of times we end up what we call blessings, and we just do the job for them for free. We know what it’s like to struggle, too, and we want to give back to our community.” — Michael Hudson

Seniors and veterans

Thank you to seniors and veterans

Let us know when you call if you’re a senior or a veteran. Seniors get free estimates and 10% off, and veterans get 10% off their bill.
