Plumbing FAQ

Drain or sewer

If it's just a bathtub backing up, that's a single drain, not your sewer line. If the drains and a toilet are backing up, then it's always your sewer line.

Warning signs

A good indication you have a slab leak is a water bill that's higher than normal. Another is when certain spots on your flooring, especially tile, are extremely hot or extremely cold. You can also go out to the meter in your front yard, and the dial will be spinning constantly. It shouldn't be spinning if you're not using any water.

Upfront pricing

We'll diagnose your problem. We'll give you fair upfront pricing, and the price we give you is the price you'll pay.

Questions

Straight Answers

Are technicians paid commission?

Our technicians go in with the mindset: 'I get paid hourly, so I'm coming in to do the best job to the best of my ability and what's best for the customer, and I'm not going to sell you a product that you absolutely do not need.'

What are the hours?

Open 24 hours Monday–Saturday · Closed Sunday.

Do you offer senior or veteran discounts?

Seniors get free estimates and a 10% discount. Veterans get a 10% discount off their bill.

What towns do you serve?

We serve Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby, Owasso, Jenks, Collinsville, Catoosa, Coweta, Glenpool, Sand Springs, Sapulpa, Claremore, and Skiatook.

What should I do if I smell gas?

If you smell gas, leave the house immediately, don't use switches or open flames, and call Oklahoma Natural Gas or 911 from outside. Once the utility clears it, call us at (918) 891-1737 for the repair.

Who answers an after-hours emergency call?

For emergency calls, we have a plumber and an apprentice on call every week. If you call after hours, the plumber who's going to be dispatched to your house is the one who answers the phone. He'll get your information. Once he gets you in the database, we're at your house within 30 minutes.

What happens before work starts?

We'll show up, diagnose the problem, give you upfront pricing, let you know how much it's going to be, get your problem fixed, and get you on your way.

What does after-hours emergency service cost?

Our regular rate is $189 an hour. Emergency calls after hours — nights and weekends — are a 50% increase, and holiday calls are double time. It's after-hours pricing, not price gouging.

How do I keep my pipes from freezing in an Oklahoma winter?

If a fixture is on an exterior wall, leave the cabinet doors open so heat from the house can reach the pipes. If you can't leave the cabinet open — like on a shower or tub — run a slight stream of water overnight during a hard freeze.

Does a tankless water heater need annual maintenance?

Yes. Oklahoma water is hard, and the manufacturer's warranty calls for a licensed plumber to flush the heat exchanger once a year. That flush is what gets a tankless unit to a full service life.

How much does a tankless water heater installation cost?

A typical full tankless installation runs around $5,000 for parts and labor. It can cost more in a two-story home or wherever running the vent up and out through the roof is harder.

Which tankless brand or fuel type is right for my home?

For Oklahoma homes, go with a condensing gas unit — it's more efficient and lasts longer than full electric, whose elements burn out. We recommend Navien, but we'll install any brand a customer wants.

Where is the Bixby office?

Bixby: 7607 E 126th St S, Suite 1-B, Bixby, OK 74008. Tulsa: 5152 S 94th E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74145. Current license: #035596.
