Gas-line work
We perform gas-line work: running new gas lines to existing fixtures, new fixtures, and new locations, and fixing gas leaks.
Gas-leak response
A customer call about a gas leak is usually classified as an emergency. If we have a technician available, we'll send them out immediately. We'll shut the customer's gas off first, then talk to them and find out where they smell the gas.
Testing the system
As far as gas leaks, we'll shut the customer's gas off, put a gauge on, and put air in the system. Then we'll find the leak that way, so we're not pushing more gas into the customer's home.
Restoring service
We can identify the leak, fix it, and get your gas back on—usually the same day, unless it's a very extensive job.
Gas line details
- We do gas pressure tests (for example, when a vacant home's meter was pulled), leak repairs, and full gas repipes when old crawl-space pipe has rusted out.
- We use black iron and CSST (Counter Strike is a brand we like). Most commercial and exposed work uses black iron, and outdoor pipe is painted and protected.
- Permits and pressure tests are handled whenever the job or inspector requires them.
- Smell gas strongly? Leave the house, don't flip switches, and call the fire department or ONG. For a faint, occasional smell, call your plumber.
