What the customer called about
A Bixby home (74008) was being remodeled with a contractor, and the plumbing had to be moved to fit the new layout in the master bath, the hall bath and the kitchen.
What our plumber found
Michael and Josh laid out the job: a walk-in shower with a new valve and a diverter for a handheld sprayer, a freestanding tub with a wall-mounted faucet in a new spot, two single vanities becoming dual vanities, and a kitchen sink and ice maker box that had to move. That meant breaking up concrete to relocate drains under the slab.
How we fixed it
We broke out the slab and relocated the tub and kitchen drains and water lines. In the master bath we roughed in the new shower valve and diverter and raised the shower drain above the slab for the tile crew. We roughed in both dual vanities and moved the ice maker box about 24 inches. On the gas side we replaced about 30 feet of 1-inch black iron across the kitchen and pressure tested the gas lines. The plan also covers new angle stops at every fixture, new attic PVC vents and the attic HVAC floor drain, and reinstalling the existing 50-gallon gas water heater.
