The short answer
Tree roots growing into the sewer line are the most common sewer problem we see in Tulsa. We clear the line with a cable and a flex-shaft chain machine. If roots are in the line, it needs a repair or a replacement, depending on how bad the damage is.
How we know something is wrong
If we can get our double blades all the way through the line, we guarantee the cleaning. If we cannot get the blades through, there is a problem: roots, debris attached inside the pipe or a possible break. That is when we run a camera.
Your main line should have a cleanout within two feet of the house. That gives us access to clean the line from the main.
Spot repair vs. full replacement
- Spot repair: usually done the same day.
- Full replacement: about two days, including the city inspection and backfill.
- We dig and replace from the house. We do not do trenchless or pipe bursting.
- When we replace the whole sewer line, we pull the city permit and get it inspected.
What our drain guarantee covers
Drain cleaning comes with a 90-day guarantee for normal clogs. Tree roots and baby wipes are not covered, because roots mean the line needs a repair or a replacement.
What it costs
- Outside drain cleaning (main line from the cleanout): starts at $256
- Camera inspection only: starts at $350
- Drain cleaning plus camera: starts at $420
Repairs and replacements are quoted flat-rate and upfront after we see the line. See main line sewer cleaning, sewer camera inspection or all our starting prices.
